Edinburgh New Town — Architectural Study

Edinburgh’s New Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, represents one of the finest examples of Georgian urban planning in the world. This personal project documents its architectural details — the symmetry of its crescents, the texture of its sandstone, the interplay of light through sash windows, and the geometry of its ironwork.

Shot predominantly in the early morning and late afternoon to capture the warm Edinburgh light that gives the sandstone its characteristic glow, the series presents the New Town not just as architecture but as a living environment that shapes and is shaped by its inhabitants.
